These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Hedwik products and services, including Ghost themes, custom development, and related digital items. By purchasing or using any Hedwik product, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Digital Products

Hedwik provides digital Ghost CMS themes, custom theme development, and design-related services. All themes are delivered digitally, and no physical products are shipped.

2. Licensing & Usage Rights

When you purchase a theme from Hedwik, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the theme on:

  • One domain / one live website per purchase (Regular License).
  • Unlimited local or staging environments.

The following actions are strictly prohibited:

  • Re-selling, re-distributing, or sharing the theme files publicly.
  • Using the same license for multiple client websites.
  • Offering Hedwik themes as part of a template pack, SaaS, or marketplace product.
  • Reverse-engineering the theme for re-sale or reproduction.

Custom Developed Themes

Custom-developed themes are created specifically for the client who commissions them. Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • The theme may not be re-sold, shared, or distributed to any third party.
  • The design and code cannot be repurposed to build new products for resale.
  • Ownership of the design belongs to the client, but Hedwik retains the copyright to the underlying code structure unless full rights are explicitly transferred.

3. Payments & Billing

All payments for themes and services are processed securely through Lemon Squeezy. By completing a purchase, you authorize Lemon Squeezy to process the transaction and issue the invoice.

4. Refund Policy

Because Hedwik themes are instantly delivered digital products, all theme purchases are generally non-refundable.

Refunds may be granted only in the following exceptional case:

  • You purchased a theme by mistake believing it was for a different platform (e.g., WordPress instead of Ghost).

In all other cases, refunds are not possible because: an invoice is generated immediately upon purchase, creating a binding tax obligation.

For custom development services, refunds are not provided once the project has begun, as work time and resources are allocated immediately.

5. Support Policy

Each theme includes a support period defined at the time of purchase. Support covers:

  • Bug fixes
  • Installation assistance
  • Minor theme-related questions

Support does not include:

  • Custom feature requests
  • Design changes
  • 3rd-party integrations
  • Server or hosting configuration (unless included in a service package)

6. Updates & Maintenance

Hedwik themes receive periodic updates to maintain compatibility with the latest Ghost CMS versions. Updates are included free of charge for customers with an active license.

7. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

  • Copy or reuse code for resale products.
  • Share theme files on public repositories or file-hosting websites.
  • Modify the theme to bypass licensing restrictions.
  • Use the theme in illegal, harmful, or misleading projects.

8. Warranty Disclaimer

Hedwik provides all themes and services “as-is” without any warranty except as required by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free code, or compatibility with every third-party plugin or integration.

9. Limitation of Liability

Hedwik is not liable for:

  • Data loss resulting from misuse or incorrect installation
  • Conflicts caused by unsupported 3rd-party scripts or modifications
  • Downtime caused by server, hosting, or domain issues
  • Indirect or consequential damages

Our total liability is limited to the amount paid by the customer for the product or service.

10. License Transfer

Theme licenses are tied to the purchaser and cannot be transferred unless approved by Hedwik in writing. A transferred license counts as one active domain.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable international digital commerce regulations and consumer protection rules. Legal disputes, if any, will be handled according to the local laws of the business registration region.

12. Changes to These Terms

Hedwik may update these Terms periodically to reflect product changes, legal updates, or business improvements. The “Last Updated” date always indicates the latest revision.
